From the moment that the announcement of baby’s arrival is made, we can begin to make preparations for it. While we can all agree that the Mom to be is understandably the center of focus, it is extremely important that we also take special care with the birth partner. This service is designed specifically for them!! It will be 6 weeks of learning, sharing and preparing. Each week we will have a 30 minute session with a different focus.

Week ONE- This week we will only focus on the emotional and mental state of the individual. What are your fears, anxieties and concerns about becoming a parent? How has your own upbringing, helped or hindered you in this area?

Week TWO- This week we will focus on what to expect for the next 9 months, as well as how to handle different situations and/or circumstances that may come up. We will discuss the different stages of pregnancy, learn about different pregnancy related conditions, and continue to discuss the emotional/mental state of the individual.

Week THREE- This week we will focus on what to expect during labor and delivery. We will discuss different ways to support Mom during delivery, as well as how to practice self care. This is important because the better you take care of self, the better support you will be for your partner. We will go over different birth scenarios, and talk about medial processes/procedures.

Week FOUR- This week we will focus on what to expect during the first few days postpartum, newborn care, and how to support Mom in her recovery.

Week FIVE and SIX- These sessions will take place during the two weeks after delivery. They are merely for the purpose of checking in with me, to voice any questions or concerns that may arise. I will offer support through this period, to ensure that the birth partner has a good grasp on their role and responsibility to Mom and baby.
